The first step to adopt a Piggy from us is to fill out and submit our application, found HERE. Before submitting an application, be sure that you have read through our sales policies (found at the bottom of this page) to help eliminate questions or concerns. We do our best to keep our adoption process simple, easy and fair. Please send Dallas a message via Instagram or Facebook @SweetCloverdaleHomestead if you have any questions regarding your application!
How The Reservation + Adoption Process Works
Each litter posted will have both the reservation and take home date listed. Our Guinea Pigs are placed with approved families only. To reserve a Guinea Pig, the full amount is due on reservation day. If you’re adopting a piggy anytime after reservations open OR you’re adopting an adult, payment is still due in full at the time you are reserving them.
Payments are not refundable or exchangeable* (no 'switching' piggies). All payments are to be made through Venmo. *please read our sales policy
You will receive a confirmation message as soon as your payment has gone through. Within 24 hours of reserving, you will receive an email welcoming you to the Cloverdale Family, as well as helpful information and recommendations for your new piggy! We will continuously update you about your new piggy until pick up day.

Cloverdale Caviary Guinea Pig Sales Policy
If you adopt a Guinea Pig from Sweet Cloverdale, you are stating you have agreed to our policies listed below.
Adopting A Guinea Pig: You will need to submit an adoption application! - If you are approved, you will be contacted within 48 hours and we will converse from there about which piggy you're interested in. - A Guinea Pig is officially reserved for you when you've sent their reservation fee. (the reservation fee is the total price and must be paid in full) - Visit our 'Available Guinea Pigs' page to view those available to adopt Non-Refundable Reservation Fee: To officially reserve/adopt a Guinea Pig from us, a 50% nonrefundable deposit must be paid through Venmo, on or after the reservation date (if you don't have Venmo or can't make an account, let us know). The remaining 50% must be paid by the day you pick up your new pig(s). - You may not 'switch' pigs after reserving and your reservation fee can not be applied to a future one. Be sure the piggy you reserve, is the one you truly want and are committed too. - If at any time after reserving your piggy, you can no longer proceed with the adoption, you will not receive a refund. - Any payments made to Sweet Cloverdale can only be refunded if an ailment or death were to occur to your Guinea Pig before take home day (changes on your end before take home day or any ailments occurring after the Guinea Pig has left our hands will not be refunded.)
Guarantee: We guarantee that, to the best of our knowledge at the time that you pick up your Guinea Pig, it will be in good health and temperament. Upon pick up, your piggy will be examined so that you can see clear eyes/nose (no signs of illness), healthy and properly shaped teeth and how the gender is determined. Once the Guinea Pig has left our hands, we are no longer responsible for their health.
We ask that you please acknowledge these are live animals and there is always a risk when adopting live animals - even if both animal parents are healthy with no known genetic issues! Once a Guinea Pig has left our care, we are not held liable for any injuries, illness or genetic issues. If you'd like, you are welcome to purchase a health exam/certificate for $75 from one of our trusted vets. There is not a health guarantee with a health certificate, but it does state that at that time your Guinea Pig is healthy and that gives some families an extra peace of mind.
You are responsible for following our recommendations for feeding and care as well as seeking veterinary assistance if necessary. After the Guinea Pig leaves our Caviary, you assume all responsibility for its health and well being.
Rehoming Agreement: We care deeply for each of our animals and it's very important to us that we know where they are and that they are loved and cared for. If at any point you can no longer keep your Guinea Pig, we ask that you contact us as soon as possible. - if you are in the State of Oregon, we require that you return your piggy to Sweet Cloverdale so we can screen new families for an ideal forever home. - if you are out of state, we ask that you still inform us if you are no longer able to keep your piggy, and we will aid in trying to find them a proper home the best we can.
